Overview: A new 405,000 square foot office complex including state-of-the-art conferencing 
areas, full service dining facilities and data center located in the Y-12 Complex.
Mechanical & plumbing systems include:
·         Four air-cooled chillers totaling 1,300 nominal tons of cooling
·         Four 40-hp variable speed pumps
·         Fourteen custom-built air handling units
·         Three commercial kitchen exhaust/makeup air systems
·         Three hundred variable air volume boxes with electric heat
·         Radon Purge System
·         Over three-hundred commercial-grade plumbing fixtures

New Hope Center
Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee
General Contractor: Turner Universal
Architect: Susman Tisdale Gayle
Overview: A new 145,000 square foot public interface complex including office areas, laboratories, and conferencing areas and data center located at the entrance of the Y-12 Complex. This project was the eighth building in the state of Tennessee to earn LEED Certification.
Mechanical & plumbing systems include:
·         Two air-cooled chillers totaling 450 nominal tons of cooling
·         Two 240-hp variable speed pumps
·         Six custom-built air handling units
·         Ninety-five variable air volume boxes with electric heat
·         Laboratory hood exhaust system
·         Radon Purge System
·         Over one-hundred commercial-grade plumbing fixtures

McGavock High School
Metropolitan Davidson County School System
 
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Services performed for: Siemens Building Technologies
Overview: Mechanical renovation of existing 400,000 sq. ft. school to save energy and replace deteriorating equipment. The system was converted from a dual duct system to a variable air volume system with hot water reheat. The renovation was completed during the three month summer break.
 
Mechanical Improvements:
  • Two  500 ton centrifugal chillers
  • Six new high efficiency natural gas boilers each rated at 3,000,000 BTU each
  • Sixteen four pipe air handlers
  • Ninety-six Variable Air Volume boxes with hot water reheat
  • Two Cooling Towers
  • Six Pumps
  • High efficiency natural gas water heater and two storage tanks

Cool Springs Life Sciences Building

Location:  Franklin, Tennessee

Architect:  The CFP Group
Overview:  A new two-story, 32,000 square foot building serving as a center for research and development for the bio-sciences.

Mechanical systems include the following:
  • Two 140 ton air cooled screw chillers
  • Two 1440Mbh modular hot water boilers
  • Custom air handling units serving two variable air volume systems, including 80% outside air and insect exclusion for the laboratory
  • A fume hood exhaust system
  • Lab gas system
  • High efficiency air filtration

 
Cathedral of the Incarnation

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Overview: Renovation and expansion to the 100-year old campus

Mechanical systems upgrades include:
  • One 155 ton air cooled chiller
  • Two high effiency pulse hot water boilers
  • Four pumps with Variable Speed Drives and controls

Essex Plastics

Location:  Nashville, Tennessee

Overview:  An 88,000 square foot expansion to an existing plastic extrusion plant

Mechanical improvements include the following:
  • One 400-ton centrifugal chiller
  • One 400-ton cooling tower
  • Four hydronic pumps and distribution loops
  • Two 75-hp air compressors and distribution loop

 
The Tennessean Printing Press Addition

Overview:  A new color press installation in an existing and operating facility

Mechanical improvements include the following:
  • Two packaged rooftop units
  • Ink plant upgrade and expansion
  • One process cooling tower
  • DDC controls

 
Saint Cecilia Motherhouse & Convent Expansion and Renovation

Location:  Nashville, Tennessee

Overview:  A 100,000 square foot expansion to an existing 80,000 square foot convent, including a new chapel, dining facility and rooms
  • Two 300-ton centrifugal chillers
  • One dual cell 600-ton tower
  • Six modular hot water boilers
  • Four hydronic pumps
  • One 100% outdoor air unit with heat wheel
  • One commercial kitchen exhaust system
  • One laundry steam boiler
  • Two built-up air handling units
  • Eight VAV boxes
  • One hundred fan coils and blower coils

Teksid Aluminum Foundry

Location:  Sylacauga, Alabama

Overview:  A new 330,000 square foot aluminum foundry facility

Mechanical improvements include the following:
  • Twenty-two 50-ton packaged rooftop units
  • Two 800-hp steam boilers and accumulator
  • Two 500-hp air compressors
  • Three cooling towers (1200-ton, 600-ton, and 100-ton)
